Tennessee NOW requires loan originators to obtain a license through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry. The education required may be completed entirely over the internet for a loan originator license.

A. We have partnered with ProSchools, one of the biggest NMLS-approved providers (#1400010).
You will need:
✦ A preferred user name/password to access your online course
✦ Credit card information
✦ Your legal name
✦ Your address
✦ Phone number
B . Enroll online! Prior to starting course, ProSchools’ orientation will cover:
✦ NMLS renewal requirements
✦ Steps to proceed through your coursework
✦ Completion requirements
✦ NMLS licensing information
C . Important reminders:
✦ Continuing education only counts for the year in which it is taken
✦ ProSchools transmits your completion record to NMLS within 7 days of finishing your course
✦ NMLS charges $1.50 per credit hour to bank your hours
✦ ProSchools needs your "unique identifier" to bank your credit hours with NMLS.
2. Pass state exam
3. Be sponsored (hired) by a register Tennessee company
4. Submit application and fees to Tennessee Dept of Financial Institutions
